Downtown Winchester, Va

This spot is absolutely beautiful. It's filled with historical buildings and a charming brick walking mall. The brick walk ways and old buildings give this gorgeous place so much character.

It's also a five minute walk to the Handley Regional Library, so normally I'll go there then head down to the walking mall to get some different scenery. I recommend going early morning or evening.

Handley Regional Library, Va

This is a stunning stunning spot. The columns, the stairs, the arches, the whole building in general is *chefs kiss*. This is also located in downtown Winchester, but I feel it needed it's own shout out.

This is maybe a five minute walk from the walking mall, so normally I'll go here then head down to the walking mall to get some different scenery. I recommend going early morning or evening.

Seven Bends State Park in Woodstock, Va

This state park is very simple, yet so beautiful. It has a variety of backgrounds, a white barn, open fields, a mountain view and a river. I feel the early morning or evening is the best time to go. The sun rises on the side with the mountain giving that beautiful morning light. Then in the evening the trees cast a shadow over the field giving you the perfect shade. The river would be beautiful for golden hour and/or sunset. The park gives easy access to the rivers and it's shallow enough to put your feet in. It only cost $5 for a parking pass.

Blandy Experimental Farms in Boyce, Va

This place is my jack of all trades. You want an open field? Theres 4 good options with different back drops. You want wooded areas? There is 3 good spots that are nicely wooded. You want a stone building? They have a lovely one. You want some bamboo? They have a mini forest of it. There's also a pond, two flower gardens, a rock wall... the list goes on! There is so much this place has to offer and so much I still have to explore. This location is beautiful for sun rise and sun set. It is also free to get in.

Sky Meadows State Park in Paris, Va

This one is a stunning spot! It has cow fields, hiking trails, a pond, an old stone house and a beautiful view. There is a trail called Ambassador Whitehouse trail that leads to the Whitehouse overlook, which is an open field with a gorgeous view. Though you don't have to hike to have a beautiful view, I do recommend doing at least once with or without clients. The location is good for sunrise, early morning, evening or sunset. It's $10 for a parking pass.

Ravens Roost Overlook in Augusta county, Va

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! I can't recommend this location enough, I mean the view speaks for itself. It's an overlook on the Blue ridge Parkway, so it's easily accessible. On the right hand side of the rock wall in the parking lot there is a little path that leads to this area. Then on the left hand side of the parking lot is rocks with different angle of the view. I recommend evening and sunset.

Edith J. Carrier Arboretum and Botanical Gardens at JMU in Harrisonburg, VA

This location is small, but beautiful and packed with nature. There is a little pond, walk way, Bridge, plants and Wooded area. So many options for beautiful backdrops. I recommend coming early morning or evening.

East Beach in Norfolk VA

This Beach is beautiful and calm. If you're looking for a beach that isn't crowded then this is defiantly the location you're looking for. It has swallow water with no heavy waves, which is good for the small kids.

Shenandoah River State Park, Bentonville VA

This state park is very simple, but absolutely beautiful. I cannot recommend this location more. Very peaceful with the fields and the mountains. It's $15 entree fee.
